Hyuni Hwang

Ms. Hwang represents the Government of the Republic of Korea on the Global Survivors Fund Board of Directors. Ms. Hwang is Director for Human Rights and Social Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. 

A career diplomat, she joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2007 and assumed her current position in August 2022. Her most recent overseas posting was in Kigali, Rwanda, as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (2018-2020). Her other overseas post was at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations in New York (2016-2018).
