Danaé van der Straten Ponthoz

Danaé van der Straten Ponthoz is responsible for leading the Global Survivors Fund’s (GSF) international advocacy efforts. She brings 20 years of experience, ten of which advising the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office on the Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative (PSVI) and leading accountability and research projects for international institutions and civil society organisations, to GSF. A key contributor to the Murad Code for enhancing survivors' safe and ethical engagement and the author of the PSVI’s International Protocol on the Documentation and Investigation of Sexual Violence in Conflict, Danaé has conducted investigations and supported litigation and victims of conflict-related sexual violence and other international crimes in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
