Survivors of conflict-related sexual violence have a right to reparation for the harms perpetrated against them. But survivors rarely see any type of reparations. Global Survivors Fund was founded to address this.
The Global Survivors Fund recognises the right of survivors of conflict-related sexual violence to remedy and reparation. Reparation seeks to acknowledge and address the different harms experienced by survivors and ensure non-recurrence of those violations.
Sexual violence is used systematically in conflicts all over the world, affecting men, women, children, and LGBTQI+ communities. Yet rarely do the survivors of these heinous acts ever access their right to reparation.
