Transforming the lives of Syrian survivors through reparation
Date and time
May 27, 2024 12:00 – 13:00
Location
Online
We will come together to highlight the right of Syrian survivors of detention to reparation – which must be provided urgently. We will showcase the transformative impact that reparative measures co-created not only for, but with, survivors can have on their lives. We will discuss options for the financing of such measures, including through the repurposing of seized, frozen, and confiscated assets from the perpetrators of the violations and/or fines for breach of sanctions regimes imposed on their associates.
Simultaneous translation will be available in English and Arabic.
