Our process

The Global Survivors Fund (GSF) advocates for duty bearers as well as the international community to develop reparation programmes, and guides States and civil society by providing expertise and technical support for designing programmes.

We value and depend on survivors to co-create all aspects of our work, particularly the modalities and types of remedies they want to receive.

The issue

Survivors of conflict-related sexual violence are owed reparation to address the harms they have suffered. However, reparation is rarely awarded to survivors.

Mapping challenges and opportunities

We are undertaking a global study on reparations for survivors of conflict-related sexual violence. This Global Reparations Study focuses on the status of and opportunities for reparation in over 20 countries.
